Halcyon Book Club
Coordinator - Roberta Jordan
Halcyon Book Club welcomes all residents to join us. We meet monthly on the second Tuesday at 6 pm. In summer, we enjoy meeting at the pool, and in winter it is 5:30 at the clubhouse. There are no rules, no agenda - just a love of books and the pleasure of reading. Our format is very simple. We all agree on a book to read, and one person leads the discussion for that book. Everyone is invited to participate, and all are welcome.
Halycon Marina
Coordinator - Hank Henderson
The Halcyon Marina is a great community asset and currently provides storage for almost 60 kayaks, canoes, paddle boards, and sailboats. Each unit owner is permitted one storage space depending on availability.
Community Garden
Coordinator - Joanne MacNeill
The complex has a designated garden area behind the clubhouse. There are currently 12 plots. The garden group meets periodically to share ideas and discuss issues. Hand tools, access to water hoses, and chairs are set up for your use.
Community Yoga
Coordinator - Karen Solovei
Yoga is an ancient meditational spiritual practice from India. Its goal, the isolation of the self, was replaced by the modern goals of good health, reduced stress, and physical flexibility. At Halcyon, we offer Chair Yoga. Classes are Monday and Thursday at 10 am in the clubhouse. All are welcome!
Photography Club
Coordinator - Michael Everett-Patriquin
The Halcyon Photography Club gives residents the opportunity to share photographs, ideas, and techniques with other photographers and photographers-in-training. This club is open to enthusiastic amateurs as well as seasoned professionals.
Halcyon Social Committee

The Social Committee plans events year-round for the Halcyon residents to attend and participate in. Events like pot-luck dinners, happy hours, BINGO, game nights, craft nights, a chili cook-off, trivia quests, soup nights, card making for shut-ins, poker nights, community outreach opportunities, hikes, a fishing derby, and more.
